Welcome to Password Keeper!

This is a simple webapplication to store all your passwords in a secure and protected way.

Frequently Asked Questions

To ensure that all your passwords are secure and protected we use both hashing and encryption methods. The application uses a two-step security method that is set by the user. First the user registers using a password that is hashed and then stored in the database. Then the users sets an encryption key that can literally be anything, which then encrypts all the added passwords. To retrieve all the passwords the users first has to input the encryption key then they will be visible to the user, and only the user.

Since the passwords are all stored using encryption methods, they will only be visible to the person who holds the encryption key, which is the user. If you want to know more about the encryption methods used in the application you can read about it here.

This is the third item's accordion body. It is hidden by default, until the collapse plugin adds the appropriate classes that we use to style each element. These classes control the overall appearance, as well as the showing and hiding via CSS transitions. You can modify any of this with custom CSS or overriding our default variables. It's also worth noting that just about any HTML can go within the .accordion-body, though the transition does limit overflow.
